Meet Our Team

Dr. John Souza

Owner and Medical Director of Balanced Aesthetics, Weight Loss, & Wellness

Dr. John Souza received his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1993 and completed his residency in General Surgery at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, in 1998.

In addition to maintaining a private general surgery practice and serving for many years as a consultant surgeon at the Dublin VAMC, Dr. Souza also established several healthcare businesses in urgent care, hospice, and sleep medicine.

Dr. Souza has a special interest in simple plastic procedures, including scar revision, PDO thread mini facelifts, and laser therapy for spider veins, skin rejuvenation, and hair removal. He also has extensive experience in bariatric and metabolic medicine, having performed numerous weight-loss surgeries before retiring from surgical practice.

He believes GLP-1 inhibitors represent the future of weight-loss management, as they can often eliminate the need for surgery for many obese individuals.

Dr. Souza and his wife, Silvanea, reside in Dublin, Georgia. They have five grown daughters and one grown son. They enjoy hunting, fishing, RVing, and international travel.

With Balanced Aesthetics, Weight Loss, & Wellness, Dr. Souza remains dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best—inside and out—through personalized, science-based care that promotes confidence, balance, and long-term wellness.

Halee Owens

Co-Founder & Practice Manager

Halee is the co-founder and practice manager of Balanced Aesthetics, Weight Loss, & Wellness. She has a background in both urgent care and medical spa management. She understands how to keep things running smoothly while also making sure patients feel truly cared for.

As co-owner alongside Dr. John Souza, she helps shape the vision for Balanced Aesthetics and makes sure the day-to-day details reflect the welcoming, professional environment the team is known for. Halee loves getting to know clients, supporting the staff, and creating a space where people feel comfortable and confident on their journey.

Kiley Dix

MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Kiley is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for aesthetics and wellness. She began her career in the NICU at Atrium Health Navicent and later worked in pediatrics before finding her true calling in aesthetic medicine. Experienced in injectables, IV therapy, skincare, and weight management, Kiley is dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best. A native of Eastman, she is excited to now serve the Dublin community with natural, confidence-boosting treatments
